Bar Screen / Mechanical Screen
The Bar Screen, also known as a Mechanical Screen, is a device used to remove large solid objects from wastewater flow before entering the next treatment stage.
It captures items such as plastics, fabrics, large organic waste, and other coarse materials.
This unit is typically installed at the very beginning of the WWTP process line to protect downstream equipment from damage or clogging.
Unlike sand or carbon filters, the Bar Screen is specifically designed to handle large solids rather than fine particles.
