Ultrafiltration (UF) / Membrane Filtration System
The Ultrafiltration (UF) System is a membrane filtration system designed to remove microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, and high turbidity from water.
It is commonly used as a pre-treatment before Reverse Osmosis (RO) to extend RO membrane lifespan and prevent fouling.
Unlike RO, UF membranes have larger pore sizes (0.01–0.1 micron), so UF does not remove dissolved salts and minerals but focuses on removing organic particles, turbidity, and microbes.
Features & Advantages
Effectively removes bacteria, viruses, and suspended particles
Ideal as a pre-treatment for RO Systems
Operates under low pressure → energy efficient
Produces clearer and safer water for downstream processes
